BIC neighbours develop web feet
When the European Sole team realised they needed a powerful and versatile website to operate at the heart of their burgeoning children’s shoes business, they did not expect to find the best men for the job next door.
However, when they moved European Sole onto the BIC site, tenant advisors played matchmaker and introduced them to Vincent Moran from up and coming web design company MediaMint, who just happened to be situated in the next office along from European Sole's HQ.
For the last 9 months, the two companies have been working together to create an expansive website which is capable of integrating with European Sole's state-of-the-art stock management system, in addition to their business, which specialises in importing the best children's shoes from Europe & around the world, making them easily accessible to parents in the UK.
Vincent Moran, Managing Director of MediaMint, says:
"Working with European Sole has been extremely inspiring as they are so passionate about their business - fitting your children with the right shoes is very important, and providing a comprehensive guide for parents has been one of the prime elements in creating the website." I've got little doubt that European Sole, which is already the fastest growing children's footwear retailer in the UK, is set to become the Biggest UK supplier of children's shoes."
European Sole sources products from across Europe and around the world, concentrating on elements such as high quality leathers and natural breathable materials to guarantee the health of children's feet and that the shoes they sell are second to none.
Brian Bellerby, CEO of European Sole, says:
"Working with Vincent and the MediaMint team has been a pleasure as they quickly grasped what the business needed from the website. It is extremely important to us, as sales of all our shoes must go through the site to assure the unique real time way in which we operate."
Louise Hardy, BIC Tenant Advisor, says:
"The availability of this kind of networking between tenants is an unparalleled advantage that SMEs can benefit from when they become part of a business community such as the BIC."
